Which countries do we tranfer your personal data to?
In addition to what is explicitly stated below, we only process your personal data within the EU/EEA.

Bitus may have suppliers that operate outside the EU/EEA. When personal data is shared with such a supplier, Bitus has ensured that the level of protection is equivalent to that within the EU/EEA, by taking the necessary measures to lawfully transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA, such as applying the standard contractual clauses decided by the EU Commission.

What data is processed?
If you contact us via email (form), we process your email address, your name, your telephone number, along with the information you provide to us. If you contact us through social media, we process your email address, your username, along with the information you provide to us. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address.

How long is my data stored? 
If you contact us via a form on the website, the information is stored for 30 days for the purpose of contacting you. If you choose to subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored as long as you remain a subscriber, to keep you updated with information and offers for marketing purposes. Other types of inquiries are deleted when they are no longer relevant. If your personal data needs to be retained due to accounting laws, your right to have your personal data deleted may be limited.

How are my personal data shared?
If you use social media to contact us, the information and personal data are always transferred to a third party (the company/organization operating the social media platform). For your own security, we recommend not sending sensitive information to us via social media.

Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of your personal data is necessary (under Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation) for Bitus Latvia SIA to provide good service and customer support, and to meet our legitimate interests in developing our business and communicating effectively with our contacts/clients. We also process your personal data upon receiving your consent (under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation). For example, this occurs when you subscribe to our newsletter, register for an event, agree to the publication of client testimonials on our website, or when we analyze your activities as a user during your visit to our website, using cookies or similar tracking technologies. In such cases, you always have the option to withdraw your consent.

You have the right to receive confirmation of whether personal data concerning you is being processed and, if so, access to the personal data. You will then receive an extract with primarily the following information: the purposes of the processing, categories of personal data, categories of recipients, retention periods, and the source of the information.

Right to rectification:

You have the right to request incorrect data to be rectified without undue delay. You also have the right, when appropriate, to supplement incomplete personal data.

Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”):

Under certain circumstances, you have the right to have your personal data erased (if: the processing is no longer necessary, you revoke your consent, there are no legitimate reasons after your objection, processing is unlawful, erasure is required due to a legal obligation, or personal data has been collected in connection with offering online services).

Right to object to certain types of processing (e.g., direct marketing):

If your personal data is processed based on a legitimate interest, you have the right to object to the processing. For example, you have the right to object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes.

If you object to the processing, it should cease unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate reasons for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or if we need the data for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Right to restriction:

You have the right to demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted (if: you dispute the accuracy of the data, processing is unlawful, and you request restriction instead of erasure, you need the data for a legal claim, or you have objected to the processing and await verification).

The right applies to data processed automatically and based on a contract (with you) or your consent. Right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
