Linax.

LINAX – double protection for long-lasting wood.

Linax is a unique wood treatment technology that combines pressure impregnation (UC3 class) with vacuum treatment using hot linseed oil. This process provides deep protection against moisture, decay, and other environmental factors, significantly extending the lifespan of wood.

Linax-treated wood absorbs less moisture, retains its shape, and is highly resistant to deformation even in extreme climatic conditions. This method offers up to 50 years of wood protection against decay, making it a trusted choice for decking, cladding, and other outdoor wooden applications.

Linax is available in natural, brown, and grey tones, preserving the wood’s natural structure and aesthetic appeal. Linax cladding and decking boards come ready for installation, requiring no additional treatment before use.

Linax color options.

Linax is offered in natural wood, brown, or grey shades. Due to the unique characteristics of wood, tone variations may occur. The transparent colors preserve the wood’s natural and vibrant look. The wood core, surface, and knots absorb color differently, creating a unique visual effect. Initially, Linax-treated wood may have a slight greenish tint, which disappears upon exposure to UV light.

Finely sawn products (such as cladding boards) will develop a slightly darker and more durable color compared to planed products.

For grey-colored Linax, the intensity of the shade may vary. We recommend reviewing sample images for a more accurate representation of the final product appearance.

Linax Brown and Linax Grey have good color retention, while Linax Natur will naturally age over time, developing an elegant silvery-grey patina.

Maintenance.

All wood requires maintenance, including Linax-treated products. Over time, the outer layer of oil may wear off due to weather exposure, and color pigmentation may fade.

Linax Natur will naturally age within 5–10 years (depending on environmental exposure), acquiring a silvery-grey patina.

Linax Brown and Linax Grey contain added pigments, ensuring longer-lasting tones. To maintain or refresh these surfaces, reapplication is recommended:

  • Every 5–6 years for decking
  • Every 12 years for cladding
  • Or as needed based on exposure conditions
