How does it work?
Bitus Fire Retardant timber reactively reduces burning speed and prevents flames from spreading in case of fire.
When exposed to fire, the flame retardant reacts with combustible gases, blocking oxygen access and forming a charred protective layer on the wood surface. This barrier slows heat transfer and prevents further ignition. Since fire cannot spread without oxygen, flames are effectively stopped, providing the highest level of fire resistance.
