Bitus Latvia.

Our story began in 1993 with the founding of BYKO-LAT SIA. From the very beginning, we carefully built the company, growing into one of the largest and most efficient wood processing companies in Latvia. Our ambition for growth extended beyond national borders, establishing us as a key exporter of forest products.

In 2018, BYKO-LAT SIA underwent a transformation when Bergs Timber AB (publ) became the company’s owner. As part of Bergs Group, we entered a new phase of development, collaborating with independent companies from Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Poland, and the United Kingdom, all of whom have extensive experience in wood processing and manufacturing.

In 2023, a strategic decision was made to rebrand the company as Bitus Latvia SIA. This change reflects our evolution and future direction, reinforcing our commitment to high standards in the wood processing industry.

Production sites

Bitus Latvia SIA operates two production facilities in Latvia – in Valmiera and Cēsis.

Valmiera Site – Specializing in sawn timber processing and finishing, the production of high-quality wooden panel and modular houses, as well as wooden windows and doors.

Cēsis Site – Focused on manufacturing wooden products for gardens and landscaping, as well as producing premium-quality wood pellets.
